Looks like the Unknown Favorites will be doing the annual Bob-toberfest at Once Upon a Vine. The usual food and beer and band deal at Once Upon A Vine on McArthur Street in Richmond (need directions, etc – Google’s your buddy.)
It will be Saturday October 15th from 1ish til 5 ish. The Faves will be playing many songs you know and have grown to tolerate. Be there!
As many of you already know, Bob at Once Upon A Vine wine shop in the north side of Richmond is having his annual customer appreciation event behind his shop on Saturday May 21. The Unknown Favorites will supply some musical entertainment.
For those who have not attended one of these, it’s a casual afternoon party outdoors - $5 or $6 admission for all the burgers,dogs, and always very nice beer on tap. Folding chairs are good to bring if you want to sit. Enter the wine store and go to the rear exit to access the party. It’s open to the public, so bring folks. Kids are OK too if they won’t get too bored. Doors open at 1, music starts around 2. Hope to see you there…

Mark your calendars for Saturday May 7th as the Unknown Favorites will help our dear friend Paula celebrate a big birthday. Gentlemen don’t ask ladies about their ages, but I suspect she is over 29 now. Details, times, directions, etc. coming….
We Faves are talking about recording some stuff. I guess we would post it on the web in MP3 format or put it in iTunes when done. Anyway, this info is more of an excuse to put a new post up on the site.
We did have a very good, “all hands on deck” practice last week. We are still trying to scare up a decent gig. Let us know if you have ideas please…
It was very fun to participate on the local Emmy winning PBS show. And remember the TV adds 50 pounds! Our segment starts about 13:30 in and wraps around Jennifer’s segment.
We are scheduled to appear on the local Richmond area PBS TV station (WCVE) Thursday evening Jan. 27th, 2011 at 8 pm on the show Virginia Currents. We taped a couple of songs in the studio and May-Lily Lee, our engaging hostess, chatted with us briefly while we attempted to be natural, yet funny and interesting. At some point after it airs I am sure it will be added the list of shows you can stream to your device. We will let you know.
